Come and Go

Come and Go is about the quietest way love dies: not a fight, not a betrayal, just two people thinking a hundred things and saying none of them. It's a song about the misunderstanding that grows in the silence.

Both of them care. That's what makes it hurt. One's sitting there thinking if they wanted me they'd say so, while the other's thinking the exact same thing back. Two full inner worlds, both convinced they know how the other feels, and neither one checking. So they come and go, close, then distant, reaching, then pulling back, never landing in the same place at the same time.

We had the whole conversation. Just never out loud, and never with each other.

Two songs in one

We built the record to hold both sides, a call and a response, so you feel the gap between what she's carrying and what he's carrying. When you can hear both, the tragedy is obvious: they're not even that far apart. A few honest sentences would've closed it. But pride, fear, and old hurt make those sentences the hardest ones to say.

Why it stays with people

Almost everyone has lived a version of this. The situationship that never got defined. The friendship that cooled because nobody said "I miss you." The relationship that ended over a story you told yourself about what they meant. Come and Go puts that ache to music, not to fix it, but to make you feel less alone in it.
